I have a daughter that loves japanese nick nacks. Can you tell me how I can contact or how to be able to join a tour at Meiji´s factory or any other chocolate/ candy factory in japan?

Sure! I added the phone number and address for the Meiji tour in the comments section of that post. I hope your daughter is able to visit there someday soon.

Hi Susan. We are staying in Akishima for 2 1/2 months. I brought 3 books with me that I’ve read and now, I’m finding it difficult to find paperbacks in English. Where can I find these books close to Akishima (I don’t drive)?
Thanks,
Myra

Hi Myra,
Welcome to Tokyo! I know that Books Orion in Tachikawa has an English section. You could take the train to Tachikawa station. Exit on the north side (toward Lumine department store.) It’s kind of hard to describe how to find the store, but you should head left on the elevated walkway once you are outside, aiming toward the Isetan department store. Go a little beyond that and look for an HMV music store. The Orion shop is in the same building, but up one floor, I think. I was a little fuzzy on the directions the first time I went, too, but it wasn’t hard to find. I hope this helps!
Susan
